This Privacy Policy explains how Nova Electrical Supplies (Pty) Ltd, trading as Nova Electrical, collects, uses, stores and shares personal information through www.novaelectrical.co.za, quotations, orders, email, telephone, forms and related business activities. We process personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) and other applicable South African law.

4. Cookies, analytics and advertising
The website may use essential cookies for shopping-cart, account, security and checkout functions. It may also use analytics and marketing technologies supplied by service providers such as Automattic/Jetpack, Google, Meta and Klaviyo. These technologies can measure website use, advertising performance and customer interactions. Browser settings and any cookie controls offered on the website can be used to limit non-essential cookies, although blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the shop or checkout from working.
5. When information is shared
We share only the information reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose. Recipients may include payment providers shown at checkout, courier and delivery providers, suppliers involved in special orders or warranty claims, accountants, website hosting and IT providers, marketing and analytics providers, professional advisers, and government or regulatory authorities where required by law.
Nova Electrical does not ask customers to send card details by ordinary email or WhatsApp. Online payment information is processed by the payment provider selected at checkout, subject to that provider’s own privacy and security terms.
6. Cross-border processing
Some technology, hosting, analytics, email or advertising providers may process information outside South Africa. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to use providers and safeguards consistent with applicable legal requirements.
7. Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to complete transactions and support customers, or to meet tax, accounting, legal, security and dispute-resolution requirements. Information that is no longer required will be deleted, destroyed or de-identified where reasonably practicable.

We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards intended to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, misuse, alteration or disclosure. No internet or electronic storage method is completely secure, but suspected security incidents will be handled in accordance with applicable law.

Subject to applicable law, you may ask whether we hold your personal information, request access to it, ask us to correct or delete inaccurate or unnecessary information, object to certain processing, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, or opt out of direct marketing.

10. Direct marketing
Marketing messages will include a reasonable way to opt out. Transactional communications about an enquiry, quotation, order, payment, delivery, return or warranty are not marketing and may still be sent where necessary.
